Dark, Rainy, and I'm Bored.

Whilst sitting on my couch watching television, I peered to my left and saw a light from a nearby building reflecting on the wet ground. It has stopped raining for the moment. I decided to put the 75-300mm lens on my XS and set up my tripod so I could fiddle around a bit. I didn't want to get dripped on, so the tripod is set up inside my living room, pointing out my balcony door, with the screen door open. I didn't managed to get a picture of the reflection on the wet ground due to some balcony structure obstruction (hah!). However, I noticed the brightly lit cross atop a nearby church and decided to see if I could get a decent shot of it. Did I? Maybe. Decent? Perhaps. Neato? Definitely! All of these were taken with the ISO set to 800. I needed it to get a relatively good exposure. The tripod made shooting at low shutter speeds simple, and the 2 second timer made things even better. Unfortunately I couldn't focus on anything (manual or automatic), but I think it did quite well for the most part.



I forgot the White Balance was set to shade from the other day. Pretty cool looking though!

This photo is really cool. It almost looks like the sun is coming up, even though it is nearly 11pm. Unfortunately the high ISO value makes for a lot of noise in the picture. I guess I'll have to learn how to use Photoshop to post-process some of my photos.
